Oof, I know that feeling. Sheered off the bit portion of a mandrel recently. Regular bit? Meh whatever, I'll get a new bit. But a mandrel sheering off? Well your hole saw is now useless. Kinda like how I lost the chuck key to my drill recently too.

all for nothing in the end, as got it all back together, ran it for a bit and it still smokes like a chimney
